Day.27, 28 & 29 G.O.R. Apollo Bay to Lorne & on to Queenscliff

Off air for the the last couple of days as we were at a beautiful free camp in the hills behind Lorne with little or no internet access.
Another day on the GOR to a free camp in the mountains behind Lorne.
Apollo Bay was the dearest site of our entire trip & the shittiest park, overcrowded dirty toilets & no maintenance.
Today we arrived at Queenscliff & met up with Jo & Kevin McClean, who are staying in the local van park for 8 days. We have booked into the same van park for the next 3 nights, right next door to Jo & Kevin.

Some more pics on the GOR on the way to Apollo Bay.

Plenty of crazy bikies.

Endless GOR views.

Plenty of twists & turns.

GOR sometimes on the beach.

Some tough swimmers in very cold water.

The areas near Lorne, burnt out in the Black Saturday fires in 2009.

The view from Tedys' lookout at Lorne.

Same as above.

Pano...

Freecamp at the top of Big Hill, in the mountains behind Lorne.

Great location.

A visitor comes for a feed.

He sent out for his friends to come & join in.

Heading out on an afternoon walk.

A statue commemorating diggers who built the Great Ocean Road.

The GOR sign.

Another lighthouse, they all look the same, a red roof & white walls.
We have now seen enough light houses, no more please.

A lonely Apostle near the end of the GOR.

A back packer offered to take this pic.

The van park at Queenscliff with the 3 vans from the Fraser Coast.

Afternoon drinks after meting up with Jo & Kevin at Queenscliff, south of Melbourne.
