Day.17 & .18. Henley, Glenelg & Kayaking

Day 17, yesterday we did a 50k ride to Henley & Glenelg & watched the start of another leg of the TDU. We followed up with dinner at the Walkers Arms pub & a big storm that blew like crazy for a short while & rained off & on throughout the night.
Today, day 18, we put the kayaks in near Port Adelaide, with 6 other people that Wendy & Greg know & paddled out to see the dolphins, which is exactly what happened. It turns out dolphins are grey & pretty boring. Lunch at the Birkenhead hotel, which was very nice & a walk around the port precint.

The riverside bikeway emerges at the ocean near Henley beach.

The lovely beachfornt at Henley.

Henley.

Cycling is big in Adelaide, we are told this was a quiet weekday, its standing room only on weekends, all funded by cyclists.

Morning tea at Glenelg.Thats a pretty forced smile Yvonne has there.

Henley beach. When I looked at this picture I wondered what the item in the middle was, it looks like someone burried to their shoulders.???

The cement bikeway through the seafront dunes give easy access to Glenelg 10K down the coast.

Halfway to Glenelg.

Beachfront entertainment.

Some more basic details.

 Old dude catches a crab.

Greg & Gunther launch to go dolphin watching.

Everybody sets off to go dolphin watching, some confusion as to which direction to go.

Gunther arrives back from dolphin watching miles ahead of everyone else due to his incredible paddling ability.

Wendy & Yvonne not watching dolphins.

A jetty built by someone with a faulty compass.

The bent jetty.

A trendy shot of the bent jetty.

Pano....
