Yesterday saw us head down through Parkes & overnight in Griffith. It was hot, very hot. Temperature around 40 degrees with high humidity, with a low overnight that never went below 26. Thank God for air conditioning. There were many well known wineries & endless fields of grapes. We had an interesting morning at the Parkes radio telescope, subject of the movie 'The Dish'.
We also enjoyed a space based documentary in 3D.
The best part of yesterday was when we arrived at Griffith to find the ensuite with liquid all over the floor. The toilet cassette had decided to split, so things were quite unpleasant & the cleanup was not much fun either. Everything was cleaned, disinfected & the cassette plastic welded for a successful repair. I was lucky to have the right tools with me.
Today saw us complete the last 400 odd kilometres into Mildura on the Murray, where we will be staying for at least 3 nights.
