Day .20.Meningie, the Coorong & Kingston.S.E.

Another travel day with eye popping scenery, in southern South Australia.

The first hold up after leaving Langhorne creek was at Wellington where we had to use the ferry to cross the Murray just before it joins the great lakes & the Coorong.

Ferry arrives.

We now have a 'Boat a Home' just like the Bostons, for a short while anyway.

Morning tea on the shores of Lake Albert. What a clean & pretty place, bakery was OK too.

The little jetty behind the smoko table.

Lake Albert.

Avro Anson motor from a tradgedy on the lake in 1942. Located in a park.

The story behind it.

SAs' only bush ranger who was a small man who used to ride an ostrich for a quick get away.

The Story...

The Coorong. Breathtaking.

The Coorong, if you look closely you can see a flock of pelicans in the middle of the picture, on the water.

Pano.. The Sa water is great, if you look closely you will see Yvonne has grown 10 fingers on her right hand.

The glorious white beaches at Kingston.S.E. with the long jetty pointing out into the Southern Ocean.

Along way out the jetty tends to get a little tricky.

Pano. Oh No.. Yvonnes head has dropped off !!!

A fishing comp was on at Kingston.S.E. when we arrived. Everyone had gone home by 3pm.

Cycling around Kingston.S.E. once again on great hot mix cycle paths.

The giant lobster was under repair, we think the giant crow had pecked his eyes out.

An old life boat.

Days end, sun finally setting at 8.30pm.
